Designing microplastic-free food packaging for Peakst8

Overview
Overview
Peakst8 Festival is a one-day fitness and wellness celebration bringing together runners, strength athletes, coaches, founders, and health-first brands. Held on 10 January 2026 at the Centre for Sports Excellence, the event hosted over 3,000 participants across workouts, challenges, recovery sessions, and panels. With performance and long-term health at its core, Peakst8 partnered with Zerocircle to ensure that even food packaging aligned with the same standard of care.

The problem
The problem
Large-scale consumer events generate high volumes of single-use food packaging, particularly for fast-moving snack stalls. Conventional paper boxes are often lined with plastic coatings that shed microplastics and persist in landfill, drains, or incineration streams. For an event focused on movement, recovery, and health, this disconnect between values and materials was impossible to ignore. The organisers needed packaging that could handle volume, food performance, and brand intent — without hidden plastics.

Zerocircle was appointed as the official snack-box partner for Peakst8, supplying high-performance, microplastic-free food boxes across curated food stalls including Two Brothers, Hello Tempayy, Traye, and The Health Factory. The boxes delivered strong oil and moisture resistance for hot, protein-rich foods while remaining plastic-free and compostable. Standardised packaging ensured consistency across vendors while supporting fast service throughout the day.
